Examen de la relación entre los factores que influyen en la búsqueda de información política a través de los medios sociales entre los jóvenes de Malasia

Resumen

Las características dinámicas de los medios sociales proporcionan un amplio espacio para que la sociedad obtenga información útil, incluida información política. Este avance en la difusión de la información debe beneficiar a todos los estratos de la sociedad, incluidos los jóvenes, para aumentar su participación en cuestiones relacionadas con la política nacional. Esta investigación explora los factores significativos que afectan al comportamiento de búsqueda de información política entre los jóvenes de Malasia. El enfoque de esta investigación es la encuesta a través de un cuestionario. Utilizando un muestreo multietápico, se identificó como muestra a 381 encuestados de universidades públicas seleccionadas de Malasia. Los datos se analizaron mediante un modelo de ecuaciones estructurales. La eficacia, el conocimiento y la utilidad de los medios sociales afectaron al comportamiento de búsqueda de información política. Mientras tanto, la satisfacción política y la motivación no afectan al comportamiento de búsqueda de información política. Por lo tanto, la búsqueda de información política se considera más influyente hacia el comportamiento político con la existencia de intercambio de información política entre los jóvenes de Malasia que utilizan los medios sociales. Los resultados generales del estudio indican el potencial de los medios sociales como principal fuente y medio para que los jóvenes malayos obtengan información política.
