The Revista de Comunicación de la SEECI (UNESCO Codes 630800 and 630607, and CDU 316.77) edited by the Sociedad Española de Estudios de la Comunicación Iberoamericana (SEECI) (Spanish Society for Ibero-American Communication Studies) funding entity and cultural association registered under number 161.561; was founded in March 1997 by a group of professors of Journalism, Audiovisual Communication, and Advertising and Public Relations of the Faculty of Information Sciences of the Complutense University of Madrid (Spain). Since its origin, it has been configured as a free, non-commercial, open access scientific journal (Creative Commons Attribution/Non-Commercial 4.0 International), which has been published continuously since its issue 0 on paper with ISSN (1575-9628) (March 1997), until now in an exclusively electronic version with ISSN (1576-3420) with .PDF; .HTML; .EPUB, and .XML output formats through the OJS editorial management platform, which aims to publish original research in the area of Social Sciences, specifically in the field of Sociology and Psychosociology of Communication, Audiovisual (film, radio, and television), Internet, and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT and Networks), including their Teaching. This journal has been published continuously from its issue 0 on paper (March 1997) to the present, being, for this reason, the dean of Spanish university electronic communication journals. The Revista de Comunicación de la SEECI is indexed in more than 160 selective catalogs such as international databases, exclusive directories, and specialized portals.

LANGUAGES: The journal is bilingual (original language and its translation into English). The official language of the journal is Spanish, it also accepts contributions in English, French, and Portuguese. The translations are carried out by the journal itself.

FREQUENCY: It has a quarterly frequency, publishing its numbers every 15th of March, July, and November. It is open to receive manuscripts at any time of the year. In each volume, the journal strictly publishes a total of 9 bilingual articles. A summary in Portuguese is included besides the mandatory ones in Spanish and English.

PUBLIC: It is aimed at researchers and academics who contribute with results derived from their scientific research, especially focused on Ibero-America, to the areas of: Sociology and Psychosociology of Communication, Audiovisual (film, radio, and television), Internet, Information and Communication Technologies (ICT and Networks) as well as its Teaching.

FREE: The Revista de Comunicación de la SEECI is open access, non-commercial (Creative Commons Attribution/Non-Commercial 4.0 International), adhered to the Berlin Declaration; publication in the journal is free, as is access to all published articles. It is an Open Access Journal (DOAJ).
