Dispute the Territory, Spaces and the Lexicon between Cuban State and Civil Society

Abstract
Limits imposed on Cuban citizens in terms of legal, territorial, spatial and lexical actions remain permanent sources of conflict between the actions and speeches of Cuba’s State-Party and the emerging civil society. From the perspective of Michel Foucault, with his social control techniques or his territorial and spatial social control mechanisms, it is possible to make an analysis of the obstacles and impediments imposed on citizen action from the following points of view: legal and territorial—internal and external migration—, spatial—controlling micro-social space as a way to discipline groups—, and lexical—imposing only one possible language to express citizen demands.
