Abstract

The political and economic modernity course, the market economy and its decisive intervention in public policy has impacted negatively on the status and position of women by increasing gender disparities, because even when prepared and trained alongside the male participation in the spaces of decision making in key positions higher order is marked by a strong exclusion, discrimination and non-recognition, according to UNESCO only 30% of researchers in the world are women and 15% for of Mexico.

This distinction has been fundamental to the masculinized companies that have used the condition of human nature to justify the superposition of the needs, interests and values of man, while credited differences on key issues concerning human rights equality and identity. The first makes sense in the field of justice and equity; while the identity appeals to culture, ways of life and different ways of being, the Other, which in principle should be universal, ie indistinct gender.

This set of reflections clothing under the hermeneutic horizon of understanding reality which can cope with the problem of gender in academia and research field both professional relationship that does not conform to meet biological presences, but where you play and negotiate symbolic and cultural references sexualized, determinants of gender as culturizado construct intersubjective world where materializes and embodied the old dilemma nature versus culture.

The analysis and the proposal is offered from conducting a philosophical reading of otherness as a reference signal which emphasizes gender as a field of democratic sense.
