Abstract
With the passage of history, it is necessary to possession of databases and file in which to store the information and documentation that over the years is generating, so, if necessary, be used in the future. The article explains how to rise to the first filing, at what point in the story appears, and since then, how they evolved and how it has been filing history. The CD-ROM is currently the medium that has the highest storage capacity.
